1.I guess the Rosa County case study project would have benefited greatly from a change control board. Maybe the scope of the project could be expanded to include proper training for the Oncall staff, as well as the new staff members hired. I think that representatives from the police department, Oncall’s manager (Alex Jensen) for the system upgrade project, and the operations manager should all be on the change control board. Each of these members could contribute a different perspective on whether the proposed changes positively impact the success of the project.
2. I agree that persons that played leading roles in the already troubling project should be part of the change control board. The reason is they are already a reservoir of knowledge about the running of the project that any expect do not have (Theory vs practical). A change control board would have definitely made it easier to decide how and what type of changes are needed for the betterment of the project.
